Oh the Irony!

I just had to laugh as I went through my weekly alerts from Gartner.  There was a great article entitled, “ERP Selection Criteria: Looking Beyond Functionality” that was just released.  Within the text, it pointed back to another article I’d read in August, “Address Five Key Factors for Successful ERP Implementations.”

From that article:

The five common pitfalls are:

  • Lack of executive management commitment
  • Insufficient or inadequate budgeting
  • Inadequate change management and training
  • Inexperienced project management and project team
  • Extensive modifications

By addressing these five critical success factors, an enterprise can successfully mitigate some of the risks associated with ERP implementations.

CG-LIMS temporarily fell victim to the number one pitfall.
